Fat loss isn’t rocket science, its Intuition science

It was not always like that. 5 years ago, I got pregnant which gave me the biggest joy of my life with a side of 25 kg extra weight. I was not worried at all, having been a skinny girl all my life. I recovered, started going on easy walks and 6 months later, I was back in the gym, thanks to the strong support system I had at home. I remember eating rich nutritious high calorie food during this time to help with my milk supply and though I was working out quite hard, I now know and acknowledge that you cannot outrun your calories. It was just easy to lose the extra weight while breastfeeding. I was back to my pre pregnancy weight by the end of 1 year. I was proud, may be too proud because I thought I had mastered the art of weight loss. Little did I know that the lesson had not even begun!

The lesson begins in 2025, the year of spiritual completion and purging old self. I distinctly remember feeling uneasy the whole year. I started journaling, reading books on philosophy and spirituality, listening to tarot readings, doing a lot of chantings, the whole 9 yard. There was definitely a huge shift in my thoughts and how I talked to myself. I was trying to be curious to my triggers and kinder to my shadow self, trying being the key word. My unexplainable weight gain was making it very difficult to accept myself completely. I was following the same lifestyle I had followed for the past ten years but just like clockwork, I would gain another kilo every month. Everytime I wrote in my journal in big beautiful letters, “I love my body that supports me and allows me to do amazing things”, my heart would say, but all I want is to fit into my old clothes. It was like the universe was exposing my hypocrisy and taunting me that I had not learnt my lesson of loving myself unconditionally.

Today, I weigh less than I did before my weight gain, I have a higher muscle mass, I have normal iron levels for the first time in my life, my resting heart rate is 49 bpm, VO2 max is 52 and I haven’t felt tired or exhausted in a long time. And the best part, the food noise has died. Its almost like food is simply a fuel and not a shiny object to cure my depression. How did this happen? Did I find the right program by the right influencer? Quite the opposite. Most fitness influencers are simply trying to keep up with the algorithm and there is nothing wrong in it. Some really want to make a difference by busting the myths, but even those lack the authenticity and often overstep the boundary. There is only one person who knows what will work for your body. That is you. Only you can talk to yourself and convince your mind that you are safe and there is no need to hold on to the extra weight that no longer serves you. You do that by small consistent lifestyle changes. How do you make them consistent? By learning how to stand back up when you fall, the part most fitness influencers skip!

To conclude, we all know that geting fitter and building strength improves our mental wellbeing. The critical information that we need to add here is that our state of mind is actually a precursor to getting a healthy body sometime, not something that follows physical fitness. So I request you to give it one more shot, this time with a different mindset. Self love isn’t optional and we will practice it together, right here. Along with my tried and tested workouts, non-negotiable lifestyle changes, high protein calorie deficit diet ideas without starving our body and most importantly, addressing every fat loss challenge with a positive solution oriented mindset.

Ultimately, sustainable wellness isn’t about grueling extremes—it is rooted in small, consistent behaviors delivered with deep kindness to both mind and body. Because, as I’ve learned, our mental well-being is intrinsically tied to our physical resilience. Stick around as we decode fitness together.
